In the Eastern Jin, Xu Zhengjun,
In the West, the virtuous monk.
In life, clarity was yet to be seen,
After enlightenment, the past causes were understood.
The ancient pagoda stands for years,
The ascetic monk practiced frequently.
The stele records but a day,
The old vine knows not spring.
The carriage returns to Xiao Cha,
The clouds and woods recognize Xu Xun.
For a thousand years, we do not meet,
Enlightenment and stability are my essence.
